Is this game dead?

Looking at buying it because it looks really cool but has it got active servers

When I play this game I see the servers are quite full, except for some gamemodes that don't have the same amount of players as others. The official servers are usually the ones with the largest amount of players. :)

Nope, Ace of Spades definitely isn't dead. There's around 500 players online currently, and it's normally easy enough to find active servers.

In terms of development and updates, it has pretty much slown down to a crawl, and one step away from being dead altogether. If you want to enter a server is hosting a game mode other than Team Deathmatch, Zombie or Classic CTF with a sizeable amount of people, well tough luck.

Do be aware that the number of players are considerably higher when a sale goes on, after it ends the numbers drop back down to normal.

Tbh looking at the charts for the past 3 months it's rare for it to drop to 200

Yep. People only play on classic ctf, zombie, and tdm. All the other modes are dead or have less then 2 players.
