Would like to know a solution to lags underground, when I go around level -53 game stops for 2-3 seconds, that hapens very often, so I stopped mining at all.
are you cleaning up behind you as you go? eaving large piles of unstocked items deep causes lag when gnomes path from the surface to deep underground. Try making a small stockpile priority 1 at floor 53 to get all the stone into piles of 64, then delete it and they should take entire piles at a time, saving you from some lag.

All goods are stored and floors are clear, cause recent update with golems I can't leave any stuff on the floors.

The only other things I can think of is beetles, if you have them enabled and a spawn occured they might have filled a cavern and the huge pop is doing it, but that would probably affect you no matter what floor you're on. Another thing might be scrolling from floor 0 to 50. I've found doing so causes a small alg spike occasionally for me. Try setting a shortcut (ctrl +1) at your entrance (or where ever you usually pay attention), and the next (ctrl+2) on floor 53. Then you can jump to and from your mines quickly by pressing shift+1/2.

Well, first step for performance issues should be... Multithreading. On a C2D E8400 @ 3.00 Ghz, I start experimenting lag around 45 gnomes, and more serious lags when they have to pick up in underground levels (or starting crafting to complete my stock). And, thanks to my G15 keyboard, I can see on the little screen that only one core is used. It could be a way for a future optimization, even if I know that it's not the most simple way. But, it's, I think, the more efficient way.
In general to decrease lag i have found the following helps - No more than 2 pickaxes, no more than four wheelbarrows and sell excess stock regularly. Also keep workshops from getting backed up.

I love playing on a huge map and building a massive fortress of around 25 levels and this keeps things playable for me.

I also set my gnomes to custom and allow only 4-5 jobs per gnome. Its tempting to have a lot gnomes with the construction skill but this also causes my system to lag once i have over 30 gnomes.

Many times i have turned things around when the game had slowed so much i thought it was going to freeze up totally and a new game would be needed by using the above tips.

on a final note often a save quit and then reload gets things running at a more enjoyable pace.

I took a look at your save file. Your crash is caused by a hauling bug that was introduced with wheelbarrels. On all your gnomes that are currently stocking items, disable hauling. Run game for about a minute then you can reassign those gnomes to stock.

I left your world running and its running just fine.

cant load my world! was playing fine the other day now it just stuck at the loading screen, please help!
First try waiting it out. If you have a long standing kingdom with a ton of resources it might take a while. If it does, then once that first long load is done it shoud be fixed.

If it doesn't work how long ago did you start the kingdom? There can be issues with older games that were started more than 2-3 patches ago. Maybe upload your save file so someone can help you.

Currently the game wont load at all. Last night when i went to play steam said "unable to launch because the game is already open" but it opened fine. This morning i get a generic steam cant find executable. I did the Verify Integrity of Game Cache, and it said one file was missing and would be redownloaded. Now i have update paused permanantly on Gnomoria, and the install just downloads the 800k quickly and then puts it back in the queue to be updated.
well, after doing nothing different - 6 hrs later i tried again and game loaded fine.
Major lag the bigger my kingdom gets and I have a very beefy computer [i5 4670K, 16GB, GF770 4GB, SSD] ... I drop to like 10 fps down deep. Watching performance, this thing is single threaded which makes me cringe since multi-core CPUs have been out for a very, very long time and aren't "new" by any stretch. Gnomoria is written on XNA it seems so multicore is definately supported by the underlying core code, Robo just needs to implement.

I'll try your suggestions. I'm a massively sloppy miner and I play with golems off so the items on the floor lag could definately do it. I also scroll up/down as I move, starting to use shortcuts more. I was fixing my stairwell so I'm sure I went up/down a LOT. :)

Appreciate the tips Arryu!
Is there a 64-bit patch? I have quadcore and 1core is always glowing on 100% with bad game lag while the other 3 cores are absolutely idle(Yes i have 64-bit OS and more than enough ram)
