Marle Flower gifting

Umm.. to who I should bother gifting items and what items? I gave 3 Marle flowers to the Lilia and got some chat lines and heart icons..

I reloaded back to save where I stillhave flowers...

Anyhow.. who I should bother gifting stuff and how much/what stuff?

Doesn't matter what you gift people (unless trying to re-gift something they gave you - most of the time), but the easiest gifts are Marle Flowers, Apples, and Cruberries (when you have access to them). That said, most people just give extra dialogue, plus a character mascot to decorate the screen with, but there are a few who will provide something more useful in return. I don't remember the exact amount of gifts needed offhand, but it's typically anywhere from 3-5, unless you pelt them with fireballs (in which case you'll need to give them 1-2 extra things).

- Brody of Lance Village will tell you of a hidden gold stash (which you can't find before he tells you of it)
- Lucy of Lance Village will give you a Meat Pie (shoot her with Fire Magic and re-gift to receive again)
- Theo of Lance Village will give you Smoked Meat
- Nash of the Colony of Lava will give you Raw Meat
- Zalem of Ramia Village will give you a Cruberry Pie
- Rimera of Ramia Village will give you a Cruberry (better to get them from the fences in the village)
