Personally, I can completely understand people saying there's not enough to do in the game and it's frustrating, even boring. It's fine. In these days of multiplayer on-line co-op etc etc, a game that makes you feel more lost and alone than maybe you've ever felt in your life isn't going to grab a lot of people. But if it does grab you, it gives you an experience unlike anything else.
Welcome to the Island. :O)
And then there was the time when Milo showed up, I headed out into the water and then discovered the water wasn't deep enough to swim in. Cue moans of panic-stricken terror as I floundered around trying to get out of my depth. :O)
But yeah. I love(?) the way Milo isn't your usual monster coming rushing at you and bellowing like a T. Rex on steroids. He just stalks you. Relentlessly. You're only ever prey in this game, never the predator.
It was pretty challenging (in fact, it was a bit of a grind at points, especially in forests), and I got about 98-99% of the way there, but I did find a couple of new areas. One of them was a forest with beautifully coloured leaves on the ground - never seen it before or since.
I almost nevet see it, when I do I just hide, run or qwim away, and everything is fine.
I really like the game, the atmosphere and the gameplay, but I don't feel any danger from the beast at all.
