Requires PERMANENT Internet connection

Well I was interested but seeing that glaring requirement has completely turned me off from ever purchasing the game.

It's probably not a DRM per se but some MMO-base like in Diablo 3. D3 always failed and dropped out in the middle of a session. I don't mind the logging in once but don't wanna drop out of the game the whole time while playing. Sorry no offline mode means I'm not buying - a shame really.

@AJ Any requirement that forces you to have an internet connection is DRM. I will not support any company that has no offline mode for single player. For Eff's sake, it's single player. But yes, pass this around to those curious about the game and remind them of the horrid flop that D3 has faced because of always-on DRM.

Is the single player online though? Not sure how they are handling the game but I thought there was talk about it being an MMO type game.

I'm both glad and sad that I read this topic.. glad, because I refuse to buy a game with no offline functionality, so it prevented me from making a mistake.. sad because it looked really cool.. like it might remind me of the days of my youth spent playing Descent.

I never expected this from an indie, crowd-funded game. Deeply disappointed.. not just because I can't play, but disappointed in the developers.

Been collecting steam game for ages, I was going to stream and give away some copies on twitch BUT i don't support this type of drm, and Diablo 3 was truly garbage as top said, Thanks for the warning, you save me over 100 dollars. I would wait until it hits the sales bin christmas or spring for 5 dollars if thats the case.

Please pass this along. I see a lot of suckers supporting this type of draconian DRM. The developers have purposely hid this requirement deep and make no mention of it except in the fine print. This is absolutely disgraceful.
