The Elder Scrolls IV follows the journey of Lucien Lachance and his new recruit as they try to bring the sworn enemy of the Morag Tongue, the Dark Brotherhood, back to its former glory. They do whatever is necessary, including assassinating, waging open war, attending parties, deceiving, and much more. Only to find out in the end that the harder you strive to slay your enemies, the faster you'll deliver your people right into their hands."

My first Elder Scrolls game, and thus always dear to my heart. Never got to play with all the DLC, only KotN and Shivering Isles (Back when games were on discs and no internet connection required to activate), but the Steam version was on sale and included all the other DLC. Great fun to be had with the game, following the quests or just goofing off. Once you tire of the vanilla experience, the modding just keeps the game alive with new weapons/armor, spells, guilds, quests and the like. Skyrim is often thought of with endless replay-ability especially with mods, but the modding community got large enough to start that trend with Oblivion.
