The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

My inventory menu disappeared
The map and spell and stat menus still appear when I right click, but no inventory menu at all. I tried relogging into the game. I tried starting a new character from scratch. I haven't reinstalled the game because I don't want to lose my game saves. It's probably something that I will be embarrassed not to have figured out on my own, but I'm willing to risk humiliation in order to play.

I'm running Morrowind without mods, but I was going to try installing MGSO to see if that helps. Unfortunately, the download balked. I'm posting this before I go to the trouble of trying to download it again. TIA!

on the bottom left there is an icon with your equipped wep, if you click on that while in menu mode you toggle the inventory

good god, why the hell does the tutorial NOT tell you that? i killed my stats screen when i double clicked on it, and it took me almost 30 minutes of wandering these bloody forums to figure out how to get it back. Really this tiny thread should be stickied and have giant arrows pointing to it for everyone going through the forums.

I just started playing this game today due to this amazing sale and I have to say, I figured this one out on my own. If you make something go away, you have to be able to get it back. Experiment. Isn't this game about using your brain a little any way?

Totally oldschool, but generally it might help to take a look at the manual you can access via your Steam library (or here: http://cdn3.steampowered.com/Manuals/22320/mwgoty_pcmanual.pdf).

Wow, I've been playing this game a long time and I didn't even know this was a thing you could do. Well it's good to know, I guess.

Not everyone thinks with the logic or rationality of Mr Spock. Its easy to understand a UI element suddenly disappearing and causing the user to panic and instantly overlook the simple possibilty's.

As for the game being about using your brain, ehhhhhhh only a little as far as doing rudimentary math to figure out How hosed you are or are not :P
