Just what exactly is needed to finish a level?

If i understood correctly from the brief instruction in the beginning i need to collect resources tiles and then destroy a lot of background tiles (=brown tiles?) in order to proceed.

But sometimes i can wreck a lot of stuff on the screen, wipe the screen up and down and still the dropping stone will not appear.

What am i missing?

You have to wipe every brownish background tile yes, then a special stone will appear and you have to get that one to the last line and make it drop through and then you're done, all within time of course.

Okay, need to take a closer look at what went wrong as brown tiles was precisely what i concetrated on. but i wonder did i collect enough of those bulding material tiles if that perhaps affects? Or maybe i just sucked. :) but thanks for the confirmation anyway.

It can't be about the brownish stones. there is always brown stones.

What i think it is:

1) Fulfil objectives seen in the upper bar in the middle. Usualy it means you need to collect brown resources and all orange pieces with a rune in them and then those green gems with leafs.

2) Make board reactions by dropping those vertical and horizontal gems that bomb the screen and get 'board reaction' timers.

But then i can't quite comprehend how many is needed.

Then the stone appears. Or maybe not. If can collect all objectives and bomb the screen like mad but it still sometimes just wont appear and i cannot see what is amiss.

There is a brown background that breaks up. Eventually you are left with one and have to match on it.

Yes forgot about those. Some levels have them and some dont. I pick them up early. Though i dont recall ever failing on those levels.

To cap this one up it seems that all items listed up in the upper bar needs to be collected. in addition any backgrounds must be blown away. even 1 tile left is enough to block you from going forward. the game does highlight the one you need to blow away but if you are in a hurry you will easily miss it. Atleast i did and i just could not figure out what was needed to do.

1. Blast all tiles with runes on
2.Clear all background tiles, those with a metal plate will need to be cleared 2x. Clearance is by matching tiles on that square
3. Make sure any colour boxes that are on the board (not all booards have them) are cleared by matching the same colour tiles over them
4. Try to match the bonus colour tiles when it appears briefly at the bottom of the screen (save your swap bonus for this to be sure)
5. Don't clear the big stone, which appears after all the background tiles are cleared, until you have completed all the resource requirements, shown in the boxes above the board and cleared the colour boxes.
6. Don't pause the game wait until you have completed a stage.
