Cannot start the game.
EDIT: Right clicked the game in the steam library, clicked "set launch options" and added "-novid" without the ". The game seems to work now!
EDIT2: oh, okay I'm sorry.
The problem where you immediately crash on startup is cause of antivirus/library.
Also want to notify that ccleaner picks up problems from king of fighters when I scan the registry.
Invalid firewall rule. > game.exe
Missing Mui reference > game.exe
As for Invalid Firewall Rule... i doubt if has something to do with our inability to launch the game, tbh.
Shu, do you have access to the system events?
There should be more info there (dumps, debug info and so on)
"Application error game.exe, version 0.0.0.0, module game.exe, version 0.0.0.0, adress 0x0011f642."
Odd, the event log visor provides more information, normally. Are you using the one that opens when you right-click your computer icon and then clicking on "Admin"?
There are some more, ofc, but...

My system:
Windows 8 64-bit
AMD Athlon II x4 630 2.8GHz
8GB ddr3 ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550ti, memory: 1GB GDDR5
I also have 2 screens, I tried unplugging one and then run "detect" in the "Screen Resolution" options. It had no effect.
Happy to give more info if needed.
It could be codecs, drivers, some additional soft, language supports, save data problems, resolution conflicts, etc.
Though i think that it's most likely something to do with visuals in general, something about renders or... something =\
Good call about the codec. That was apparently my issue.
Anyway, we must have something in common (or, to be precise, there must be something that we're all missing, compared to those who can run the game).
