Use MSE for antivirus, but I have played with it on, completely off and with INS whitelisted with no diffence.
Steam overlay on or off has no effect.
I don't really have a lot of background programs running, just normal windows stuff.
This did not happen back during pre-release. It started when the full retail came out and has been happening consistently except for one brief period after the 2/10 update.
There was a dump created today while playing:

Looked at the dump and this was being spammed before the game died:
146(399.243765): ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: E_OUTOFMEMORY
145(397.439012): ShaderAPIDX8::CreateD3DTexture: E_OUTOFMEMORY

How much VRAM does you card have?
1 GB

But I dont think that dump is related to the map change crashes. If the map change output a dump, there'd be hundreds of them in that folder.
It's a map load crash when it's trying to allocate textures for the level's light maps. For a temporary workaround you might want to lower texture detail.
Since the update today, every minute or so, the screen freezes - like a lag spike. Same system build as yesterday with no new programs installed or running in the background. Anyone else having a similar experience?

Here be dumps.[www.dropbox.com]
1 of them was a crash after changing graphics settings, we've got a fix for that in the works. The others were to do with the bots on the practice mode map, we're investigating. Playing PvP on a live server should work.
