LAN Hosting (The easy way)
After finding a bunch of tutorials about how to create a simple LAN server and all we ended up with was a complete download of the Dedicated Version, we found a way easier way and would like to share this with you guys.

Simple when you are in the main menu of the game, open the console and type the following:

ip <LAN IP here>
hostname <name of your server>
map <name of map (district_coop)>

Now of course you want bots, just wait untill the game starts and type:
ins_bot_add 1

For your friends to join your privately hosted LAN server, just type:
connect <hosting LAN IP>

Oh and make sure you guys do this with Steam in offline mode!

Very useful answer to me. BTW, am i supposed to type "sv_lan 1" into the console in the case where I only need to play with my mates in the LAN?
I tried this out personally before officially testing it, but looks like, as the listenserver, I dont see my lobby on the LAN tab in the Server Browser. Anything wrong?

Please do not necro years old threads.

The question is, do you need to see your own lobby at all ? Or rather, do you even need server browser to begin with for LAN ?

If you are testing it (by having 2 client games) use direct connect instead.
And if clients know the LAN IP beforehand, you can bind it to a key (bind F5 "connect IP:PORT" for example) and make it that much easier to connect.
