How do I Add friends on Steam and not ingame? Meaning you add friends in the game, but I want to add them as steam friends.

I tried looking at recent players but nothing shows up. Is there a way to view people's steam profiles linked to Wargame airland battle accounts?

That's not possible. You'll have to ask them for their Steam nick/account name and then manually add them.

No, it's because Wargame is independent from Steam but for starting the game. There's no steam integration - they could sell the game without Steam that way.

There is a "profile" button on one of main menus in-game that has an "add friend" option.
Go to your "Profile" and you should be able to add friends there. You have to use their In-game Wargame tag.

I'll be honest I haven't used this option myself yet. The first friend we had to add each other by making a public game, joining real fast, then turning it to private. But the 2nd addition to my ingame friends list found the option I described above and added me to threir list with no problem. (Again using our Wargame player tags.)
