How do the Twins work? I always get reset [fixed: key mapping]

It seems I'm stuck at the beginning of the Twins Level.

I know I'm supposed to use all three levers and then use the twins ability to leave a ghost. The thing is: when I use the (third) lever with the twins, then press Y (xbox gamepad) the twins get reset to the spawn point where they would reappear after death. No ghosts are left in place.

I never paid much attention to the twins ability but looking back, that was always the behavior of their special ability. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Um thanks for the video I guess? Sadly I don't really see how that helps me.

Anyone else have a problem getting the Twins ability to work? :)

The twins can only be "ghosted" to one place. The other two characters need to get the first two, the ghost needs to get the third, and then the real twins walk through.

I now know what caused the problems: I'm using an xbox gamepad and somehow pressing Y did not only trigger my ability but also the "instant death" ... even though it was mapped to another key. I remapped insta death to the keyboard and now the ability works as it is supposed to! :)

Thanks, I had the same glitch.

Edit: Nevermind. Now my characters commit suicide when switching to them. It seems controller support is awful.
