Anyone with a 2016 5k iMac actually able to play this game?
I just purchased this game, but I cannot get any audio out of my guitar or bass using El Capitan on my 2016 iMac (27" 5k display)

I use the same cable on my PS4 and everything works fine. If I use boot camp to run Windows 10 on my mac I am able to get audio. But when I go to use it on the same computer in ios...I cant get any audio. I have tried unplugging all USB devices except that cable, powered USB hubs, all USB ports that are available on my comoputer...and I just get nothing.

In system preferences I have the sound input set to Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter. The input volume is at 100% and when I strum the strings I see the audio level meter move. But still I get nothing when I actually go to play the game.

Just wondering if anyone out there had the same problem and found a fix for it!

I have a mac mini. On my system prefs/audio, i have the input volumn about 45%. I don't remember setting it lower than 100, but it does work fine.

In midi setup, the volume is set to about 40, with a value of .372 and db of -1.315
The format is 48000Hz, 1ch-16 bit integer.

I have run on a much older iMac and it RS worked as well...

BTW, can you get by the 'tuning' part of RS? Do you get to the main menu, but just can't hear the guitar sounds?

Are you running El Capitan on your Mini?

I have the same settings in midi... 48000Hz, 1ch-16 bit integer. I have tried the volume at all diffrent levels, and none of them work.

I am able to open the game, I get to pick a song, then it goes into the tuner, then almost immediately, the gray box pops up and says the cable isnt plugged in, even though it is.

Yes on El Cap (on both).

I have seen the 'cable not plugged in' popup sometimes. I usually just have to take the cable out and plug it back in. Rarely a reboot is needed.

Is the RS cable directly connected to your guitar? No extension or splitter?
Do you get to the calibrate stage? It should happen before you getg to the tuner, but maybe it notices the cable error first.

Can you goto Tools (space bar) then, Tuner? What about audio settings?

I've tried reboots, uninstall and re-install, I even just did a reinstall of the OS just to see if that would help...but it didnt. I've plugged it into all 4 USB ports on the iMac, and even tried some hubs. I can get to see settings and the tuner and the list of songs and all that...but as soon as it goes to tune the guitar, that grey box pops up before I can even touch the string.

When the calibration came up when I first installed the game it wasnt registering anything either, and then the box popped up and said the cable was unplugged. But then I just quit the game and re-started it and then it bypassed the calibration part.

Well...I just saw on some other messageboard that someone tried disabling thewir bluetooth and it worked. I took a shot in the dark and tried that...and for some reason that made it work. When I had the game open, I was able to turn the bluetooth back on and then the game still worked. But my happiness was short-lived because the next time I opened the game...the audio was all distorted and garbled.
.....and after some trial and error I found out that the audio engine settings need to be set at at least 4 or higher or the audio will be distorted and crackling.

I can play it on my 2012(?) Macbook just fine, but did not try with the newest OS release yet.
