First review on steam - That should say enough.
This game is a must have for anyone even thinking about stepping foot into the musical world. I am NOT musically inclined at all, but I love listening to music. I'm about 30 now. I played the drums as a kid in a drum core.. dont remember how to play.. and only memorized music from my brother, never knew what I was doing. I was forced to play the clarinet in high school marching band.. hated EVERY second of it. I skipped most of my band classes/practices and only showed up when it was a must... band just was not for me.. or so I thought. I always kind of felt a passion to make music, even spent a ton on a music producing program "Stagelight" and just can't figure it out. So to get on with it... my Birthday was this month, and my pops gave me an Amazon gift card for a couple hundo. Finally a music note slapped me in the face and BAM.. ordered an electric guitar. Never played a stringed instrument in my life.. no f**king clue what I was getting myself into.
I travel for a living so getting someone to help teach me just wont happen (lol) so I found myself picking up this game from Gamestop. I dont think I could be a happier man right now. Traveling around Cali, learning how to play guitar by myself.. actually making it sound good. My time shows 22.2 hours as of right now and I think 10 hours were AFK on accident. In those 12.2 hours though (5 days)... my fingers are getting trained by the session to not hurt, music notes are starting to come out, I feel very comfortable with a guitar now. I can't wait to rack up more hours on this game learning where my failing fingers need to be placed.
***This is said in below posts, but the one bad thing I wish was more in this game was learning how to read music and tabs. I've always heard to play guitar you really just need to learn tabs. This is something you will have to research on your own. There is tons of info on this online though.
I cant speak for the game as someone that already knew how to play guitar, but just starting out... this game is badass. If you have the opportunity, go balls out. You can pick up a great electric guitar online or in a pawn shop for less than $200.
