Feature Request: Only show Linux games in store
Is there any way to hide all Windows games from showing up in the store while logged in through the Linux client? If not, I think it would be a good feature to add.

You can click the magnifying glass next to the search box, then under "Any OS" you can select "Linux". That'll list all linux games available if that's what you mean.
I was saying if you're going to be logging in through Linux, shouldn't the Linux games be shown by default every time you go to the store? Right now, when I looked at it, the entire first page was games that only played on Windows. If the plan is for every game eventually to run on all three platforms, then this feature request is unnecessary.
If you are in the beta, there is a tab under Store that says "Linux" where only the Linux games are shown. I'm sure they'll keep this once the beta is finished, or at least do like the Mac version and have a link for it.
I guess due to it being a beta, the Linux button is fine for now. Upon release, it should show only Linux games by default.
No it shouldn't. What's wrong with seeing the whole catalog, when you can filter everything with just one click and there are categories for each OS?

I agree. I also have Steam installed on my Windows partition, so I like to browse/buy games on whatever system I'm logged in to.
There's also a distinct icon next to each game to indicate on what platform it is available so you don't get to excited and have to click it first.
Right, a filter is better than just limiting what we can see by default. And I'm kind of excited about seeing the little "Windows+Mac+Linux" icons...
The reason I brought this up is there are those of us who will only use Linux, never use Windows. Why go through the added step of clicking the Linux button on the store every .. single.. time.. you.. go.. back.. ? It could even be an option from a drop down menu allowing you to set which games you wish to see by default. (Sort of the way it is now when it asks which window you want steam to automatically open upon login.)
Valve is a company that sells stuff. They will *not* hide 95% of the stuff they sell. That would be commercially absurd.
Actually it would be more absurd if Valve hid the actual stuff they sell to linux users in the midst of thousands of irrelevant games.

im not interessted in not linux games and dont want to see them @ steam.
Agree. Or at least promote only Linux games on first store page.
But for that they would need two sites. Too much costs.

There's a great big LINUX tab on every page of the store. Linux games are not hidden.

I see some people like to browse all games at once, so maybe making the client remember my choice would arrange everybody? When I start steam I see advertisements and stuff about games I can't play, so I don't see the point. Either remove the advertisements or make the client remember I want to filter non-linux games.
