Dota lagging so much on Ubuntu 12.04 with nvidia geforce 210 1gb ddr3 graphics card

I was using Windows 7. Dota 2 was working perfect in windows 7. Now i have installed Ubuntu 12.04. I use nvidia geforce 210 1gb ddr3 graphic card on my PC. I have tried installing nvidia driver. I'm getting a serious lag in my dota 2 game. Can someone please let me know how to solve this problem?

I have the problem when i run flash videos on firefox while playing dota. Maybe it's the same problem.

I actually meant that I installed nvidia driver 319 as it suggested me. But still the problem persist. Today I have upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10. I tried it now and it is again lagging. I feel not only the game but there is a basic lag in other things as well like when i type something etc. Not sure.
