Steam for Linux

Updated Mint 15, now unable to use direct rendering.
Hi there,
So I just updated my system -- Linux Mint 15 -- and did a reboot. For some reason the start menu and bottom panel on the desktop diapered. Also I could not see any programs running.
Luckily I was able to lunch the terminal and type in "sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback" from memory, since the screen still didn't display anything. I then rebooted into Gnome and everything was fine. Then I lunched Day of Defeat and got and error message advising me to visit this website:

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9938-EYZB-7457

So I did, and I did what it says:

0: Opened the terminal
1: I wrote "glxinfo"
2: It shows me a lot of information
3: Guess this is the central piece of info: "libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast."

What does this/that mean?

Can I fix it somehow?
