Trine 2 - xbox 360 controller weirdness...
So, I'm playing Trine 2 and I finally bought a wired xbox 360 controller specifically for this game (which is gorgeous and brilliant). I've hit exactly one (1) snag, however. When playing as the thief and hanging from a grappling hook line, the A button is supposed to release the line and jump. Instead it does nothing while hanging from the line and the only way I've found to release from the line is to push the right analog stick as if I was going to fire an arrow.

I've gone over the controls and they are all set to the defaults, so I'm assuming this is a bug. Has anyone else run into this?

Hi gewalker, I had the same issue. You just have to go into the joystick configuration and set that one button. It was the only button that wasn't pre-configured for me. Trine 2 is supposed to be pre-configured to work with the xbox360 controller, so I suppose it's not so much a bug as it is a small configuration error.

@Benjamin So just re-set the Jump button?

Yes. Just go to Settings, Configure Controls, Click on the Thief Icon, and reset the "Rope Jump" to button A.

Thanks.

I wonder if it's worth reporting this as a bug? It does sort of affect the experience for some users. The configuration is not the most intuitive thing on Trine, so it would be nice if they fixed it for new players.
