Is anyone else getting launcher windows with no icons?

This started today, I'd start Steam and suddenly it would open my library or whatever i had it open in a window with no Launcher icon with a window labeled ".exe" right below it that also has no icon. here is what it looks like: http://i.imgur.com/PwiVm.png

I've been having problems with Steam's window management since the last update when they changed the windows to have a name specific to what they are, like "Library" or "<name> Chat" and whatever. It'll open the window just fine (except for the previous problem with notifications screwing up that i mentioned a few weeks ago) but they will be independent windows instead of being grouped together as Steam windows (which, despite the incorrect window names, i liked before the update) if anyone knows how to fix this problem can you let me know? and if you are actually in the beta (unlike me) can you pass this on to the beta forum to possibly get it seen so that it can be fixed.

Also, if it helps, I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 with GNOME
