Steam on CrunchBang 10
CrunchBang is based on Debian, just as ubuntu, but I think some ubuntu specific dependencies are missing, because when I want to install steam i get this:

Any ideas how I can move on to install?

You can try with these scripts:

I'm running Crunchbang and these scripts worked fine for me.

Hmmm...that is strange, for me the script stopped. Can you exactly tell me how and what u did?
Isn't crunchbang based on debian squeeze? The scripts say they won't work for debian squeeze

You might be right, it's not working. :D
Okay, so I got it close to starting by updating crunchbang to run on wheezy. You have to modify /etc/apt/sources.list to use the wheezy repositories and then run apt-get dist-upgrade. However I get "failed to load steamui.so" in a dialog window after it updates. I will soldier on!
