Steam for Linux

[EDIT]:(false alarm) It would appear that they have fixed the backdooring for non beta testers.
I can no longer access Steam via the "steam steam://open/friends" command or any other. Made me sad ):

I'm not the only one, am I?

No, you still can use that or steam://store or whatever. But when you changed the Steam icon it can be replaced during updates.

Weird... steam://store works but not the steam://open/friends, which is what I've always used... hmm.

I just never had a problem with it until it updated just a few minutes ago. My bad guys!

i've had absolutely no problem getting it to start. i don't even have to do anything special to get it to start up. i do exactly what i did on windows, i right-click the taskbar icon and select which window i want to open. everyone of them has worked for me so far, and i'm not in the beta either. (although, that's not how i started Steam the first time on Linux)

I use steam://nav/games which takes me straight to the Library and it works every time.
