L4D2: Does the mic work for /anyone/?

There has been a bug report for months, and I suspect it's just being ignored. If your mic doesn't work in game (or even in-game audio test), please go post on the bug report, and maybe the activity will draw attention. Here it is:

There are a bunch of problems in L4D2 kinda annoying since they've had it in Beta for freaking ever and still release it with a bunch of bugs that should've already been fixed. Since the official release also there have been no updates for the game.

Yes you're right, I'm for example facing massive game crashes with L4D2, while other source games like TF2 or DOTA 2 work just fine

Yeah, I just found that out last night. I set up a Mumble server and got my friends to use it to get around the mic issue... and then L4D2 kept crashing every time I tried connecting to a server. It would load up to 90%, then BAM... desktop.

my two issues with left for dead 2 are mic and defib when ever i pull out the defib to rez a teamate my screen goes all yellow luckily the friend i play with tends to die at my feet so i can rez him without being able to see what im doing

Me and a friend of mine are having the same problem with voice chat, the game itself runs great.

Steams voip works fine.
