Steam on Ubuntu 12.10 X64 What you need to know!

X64 users should use the multiarch ia32-libs this will solve also GTK problems in steam.

sudo apt-get install ia32-libs-multiarch

To get nvidia drivers working and building kernel module you need some more:

1: sudo apt-get install build-essential
2: sudo apt-get install linux-source
3: sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`

now install the 310 experimental trough the Additional Drivers,

O btw dont use sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 this might cause steam to render in software mode.
