If you happened to use the ultra setting for your GPU, then there's your problem. The current Catalyst linux driver can't handle AA with playable performance. Setting it to high will solve your problem.
fglrx12.11beta that was required to play TF2 made SS3 unplayable.
The best experience yet was on the latest stable fglrx. Good performance and no rendering glitches.
Hopefully this driver hell will be over in a couple of mounths. Makes me wonder if what really killed UT3 on linux was the driver situation.
