The game was missing the dependency lib32-libxmu which caused a white screen then crash on startup. Installing that dependency fixed the issue for me.

This bug has been fixed in Build 1, now it works out-of-the-box on my Nvidia.

The performances are great, but I play on a 670M.

But fixing the error while entering Neptune in the campaign issue would be really nice.

It should have been fixed with the Build 2

Such releases really need more visibility: they do not appear on the new/recent tab of the Linux shop as the game is still registered as have been released in 2008 or something.

If it were not for this thread I might have missed the release. So I can imagine some other people wanting to buy the game as well (if available) but missing the release.

Both X3R and X3TC are still in Beta, as long as they do not pass in Gold they will not be included in the new/recent tab :(

Huh? Are they? I thought that games still in beta were not featured as "games for Linux" (which makes sense). However X3:TC is shown as Linux compatible on the store http://store.steampowered.com/app/2820/
