Mir could suport Wayland
"Wayland support could be added either by providing a Wayland-specific frontend implementation for our display server or by providing a client-side implementation of libwayland that ultimately talks to Mir. "

whats the point of having two servers to do one job? MIR can crash and burn just like the last one for all i care

The reason we all run Linux instead of Plan 9 is the same reason we all run X.org instead of MIR/Wayland. It works well enough.

Ye, X.org does it's job, but has a lot of flaws which can be fixed in future. I don't see the need for a second display server though.

Will be the same as with many things Cannonical started, as Upstart vs systemd.
