Steam for Linux

TF2 shows psychedelic colors
I originally downloaded TF2 on Linux for the promo. It worked fine at the time. Since then I deleted it. Today I re-downloaded it. When I launched the game, the valve intro screen was small, upside down, in a corner and had a huge green bar above it. When the menu showed up there was no sound and it just showed a bunch of colors that vaguely outlined each button/frame on screen. No text was to be seen.

I'm running an x86 system with Linux cinnamon. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I assume you have Linux Mint when you say cinnamon. We will need more info - please post Steam system information and the output of glxinfo (in terminal type glxinfo). It's probably a graphics driver problem.

You are using Intel Ironlake graphics which apparently isn't supported (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/19)

I don't know why it worked before though.
