Intel Graphics

For Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, you'll need to update your mesa stack using the x-updates PPA.

On the command line (as root), run

apt-add-repository ppa:glasen/intel-driver
apt-get install --install-recommends linux-generic-lts-quantal xserver-xorg-lts-quantal libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal
apt-get update
apt-get -y dist-upgrade
glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version" # verify you have mesia 9.1.6

right?

but i think that the lastest version of mesa is 10.1 so i will install a backport of Ubuntu's 13.04 Kernel

this will be enought or i must do something more? idk

Ubuntu pulls in back ports 12.04.3 i think is based on 13.04
I'd stick with the latest LTS version (be it .3 .4 or .X) and wait for 14.04 which is coming soon.
You'll probably have to wait for each LTS enablement stack to release before getting it. As the newer stacks comes, you should be able to get the "latest" mesa drivers. Right now, the saucy stack are available. You should be able to get version 9.2.1
what if you have an AMD dedicated card?
Elementary OS only bases itself off of Ubuntu 12.04.0; it's a pretty weak and bland distro, so don't use it. If you're using it just for the Pantheon desktop environment, I recommend getting the appropriate PPA for it and installing on Ubuntu to replace Unity or other DEs if you want.
