Steam Linux downloading slow

Well the headline said it already. Steam is downloading much to slow. For Garry's Mod witch has 2,1 GB it says it needs 18h. Sometimes it says it would need 2 or 3 days. But that only happens on my secondary PC witch is running Lubuntu 14.04 i386. My main PC witch runs Mint 17 x86_64 the same download only takes a few minutes. So where's the problem?!?

Maybe, network card/driver. Which ones you have on your PCs? Do you use wifi for Ubuntu PC?
BTW, there was already a similar topic here not long ago.

i don't think the network card is the problem. From PC to PC i have the full LAN speed of 100 mbit/s. Both are connectet to the same switch. Also surfing, and playing minecraft online is no Problem. Only steam is not working :/

Change the download server then.

Well i found the error xD. The limit of the bandwith was set to 32KB/s... somehow i didn't see it.
