Development has been pretty fast so far, they have and are updating frequently, just like they said they would.

I'll only back that statement up when I see the patch actually released. And if it only focuses on making sure saved games aren't messed up by future patches....well, I think we all understand the ramifications of that.

Just wondering how you define pretty fast? I know a lot of people are concerned there haven't been any updates since release yet.

I would call the development steady, but not fast really. I am a little worried about the premature release of this game and just hope that the devs stay with it.

Considering the amount of work, the recent statement of the upcoming update I think its safe to say they are sticking with it. Many of us were playing towns before it went on steam, updates have been fairly frequent overall.

I am one of "us". I have seen the patch notes and frequency of updates. I understand the dev's are working part time and don't expect miracles. I just don't see how you could classify the progress as fast. And you assurances aside, I still worry that since they have been paid and the game released, it will be easier to walk away from. Not saying that is going to happen, just that it is a cause for concern.

I guess fast is relative, I agree frequent or steady is more acceptable.
And yep they are part time, have real lives to deal with and generally are your typical indie developers.
I dont think they would walk away from it tho, i have no doubt they will see it through to release at which point modders can take it to the next level if they actually do walk away.

Sadly, this is the very thing I fear. You must not be aware, but the game has already been released.

Its been released as a playable beta, lets see what happens before we declare its demise :)

Like I said before, I am not saying it will happen but it is a cause for concern.

And the developers reject your statement of beta. It is released. End of story. Anything that comes after is bonus.

Well, if you consider the development of Towns as "fast", then the development of Gnomoria is at Light speed.

♥♥♥♥ off a$$hat. Goto the Gnomoria page and post your boner for their game there pls and ty.
This may not be the very best way to make your point. :-)

I don't know if you realize it but 90% of the people that have issue with the game in these forums are pissed that the Dev said in these forums that this game was release quality. They have denied that this game is in Beta stages. And there is ZERO tag on the store page that anyone is buying a Beta.

Most of us in these forums would actually back off if they simply achkowledged this fat in the Store Page. We all feel that they are falsely advertising and misleading customers into purchasing a Beta grade game when there is no disclaimer that it IS such.

Aye. He's representing the Towns' community really well...

Dont think of me representing the towns community. More of a forum mod if you would like, trying to keep topics on post.

Eveque - I posted that prior to saying I wouldnt antagonize him :( didnt have a chance to edit it lol

Good for you. Keep to the high road and you can argue on facts and opinions in a constructive way. Or, just agree to disagree.

Nadilus would most likely have to go the same route :D For us to actually even talk, yes, we would have to agree we disagree like you and I did LOL

At this time though, I am going to leave the hornets nest alone, let things calm a bit, and come back in a day or so when I have had time to clear my own head.
