When did it happen? What did u done? I forgot my Glass Ball ,
ups sorry iam no Fortune Teller :) Please be more Specific.

Did u set a Sound or Music to an Event and after that u Deleted it from Resource Manager?
Than your Game could cause a Failure Message after Start Testplaying or while Testplaying
because that Events want to Load the Sound but its not existant anymore.

I didn't do anything. The only real thing I had been messing with was classes, weapons, items, and actors, but that was yesterday. I opened it a few minutes ago and it gave me that message and closed the window. I can't really give any specifics because I know I hadn't gotten to deep into the settings.

not to sure. I opened the DXDIAG on my computer just to check up and see if Direct X was working and it said it was and when I opened RPG MAker again, it was working properly. Not to sure how it happened, but it just did :I

I use bluetooth earbuds and I couldn't figure out why lewd nonsteam hentai games :V wasn't starting (heheh). I reinstalled directx, enabled legacy directx, reinstalled my graphics card and driver package, etc. Still didn't work. Then I saw plug in headphones. I didn't have headphones but I did have a mic. So I plugged the mic into the headphone jack.

It worked.

Turns out all they wanted was to detect something. Anything. Doesn't even have to be a headphone. Good luck guys, have fun.

This is it right here. My headphones broke so I don't have anything to use for sound. Randomly an RPGmaker game I was playing crashed with this error. I found this post, took some random jack I had(it's not even an earbud, it's a little mic thing) and put it into the headphones slot. Works now. I almost went through a multi-hour process of actually checking if my drivers didn't suddenly crash into the ground.

Thanks, dude. Random posts like yours always trump the tedious posts such as "check your drivers".
