Audio static
Hey guys. So, i bought this game awhile ago and only recently decided to finally play the fabled DMC Series! First mission, omg, Funzies! However, there seems to be constant Static. The graphics look fine and i do not notice any tearing so it seems to be only an audio problem. To make things worse, It makes everything else i may have running making sound, also static! to make things even worse-worse, at the start of the second mission at one point it was just pure static, shot into my ear for a moment. i use the Logitech G35, usb. Any suggestions? with how epic the first mission was i would hate for some audio issues to deter me from playing through this epicness. can't exactly expierense the fullness with no sound!

thanks for the help.

Yes i know exactly what you speak of, i had the same issue, the sound in game starts to break and makes everything laggy and unplayable. I tried every forum and solution so far and nothing worked, however i tried a couple of things to fix this issue and i think i fixed it, at least for myself.

Do these things:
Revert the sound format to 16bit 44.1 Khz CD-Quality
If this doesn't help download DPC Latency Cheker and do a couple of test to make sure you don't have a faulty sound card or out-dated drivers
Make sure your normal audio drivers are not in conflict with AMD's HD audio drivers/device
Also, for some reason when i start the game under the processes i have two DmC's running, i didn't see this untill today so i just clicked end task on one of them and now everything works perfectly for me (6 hours of smoothe gameplay).

I hope this helps you because i was also relly stressed out about it for a long time.

You can also try: making the .exe of the game Windows XP compatible (seemd to work for some people on some forums) and disable the cloud option for the game under properties in Steam library. If i come up with something else i will update this post.

Disabling all the HD options in game also seemd to fix the issue for some players.
