Game simply doesn't launch
I tried:
- disconnecting all controllers
- updating/reinsalling all vc's
- running in windows 8 compatibility mode
- running as administrator
- the fixes in the pcgamingwiki
- I do not have any razer stuff
- updated my video card driver (Geforce 920m)
- checked the game for integrity through steam

any suggestions?

I'm on windows 10.

And no error message is displayed ?

I anyway suggest to install DX9 and to update your sound card drivers if possible.

Nothing whatsoever. I'll try with DX9 and sound drivers and let you know.

EDIT: it won't let me install dx9 on Windows 10, go figure. The microsoft installer simply doesn't allow it.

So, updated my audio drivers and installed dx9 and nothing changed.

For curiosity I tried to launch DMC-DevilMayCry exe from its folder and I got 0xc000007b.
Not sure about what I should do.

Tried to clean and reinstall everything, but nothing. Any ideas anyone?

So... I actually didn't do a proper system restore since the windows 8 -> 10 free update. Wouldn't you know, yesterday I was bored (and the pc was a bit slow) and I actually did it: now the game works.
