how do you video on farming simulator 2013

You will have to be more specific. Do you mean how do you setup video settings? Or do you mean how do you record your gaming session so you can upload it to You Tube?

that's what I'd like to know how to do...

You go to the main menu, which can only be accessed outside of game and then "Options" and there are a few video settings there, including the resolution setting.
You can also change the video settings by editing "game.xml" in My Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2013\

You can use a 3rd party video capture utility like "Fraps" to capture your video and audio and then use a video encoding utility to compress it before uploading it anywhere. If you don't compress the video with an encoder then the video file will most likely be huge and take a very long time to upload anywhere.

All you need is this part :
You go to the main menu, which can only be accessed outside of game and then "Options" and there are a few video settings there, including the resolution setting.

There are more options in the xml file than there are in the game options menu.
