Grim Fandango Style?

I just saw the promotional video and noticed just a bit of GF style (maybe the weird characters, point and click, music, ambience). I'll give it a try and will see if it's up to the circumstances... :)
GF players who have tried this game: any thoughts?

Some of the art in one of the pictures on the steam store page looks strikingly similar to the voodoo woman's hut on puerto pollo in Monkey 3 (COMI)

And fwiw that's what made me click the buy button :D

You can clearly see GF's influence in this game, but it's a completely diferent game!

1) Lo primero que me llamó la atención fueron los personajes, si bien siguen el estilo de las mascaras Africanas, me recuerdan mucho a las calaveras en honor al día de los muertos. Sera por sus cuencas bacías?
2) Tiene una muy buena banda sonora. La música de fondo me sitúa en la década de los 30 o 40; como GF; Jazz en donde se luce el saxo como instrumento principal.
3) El personaje principal (Bwana) tiene un amigo/hermano (Kito) que es mecánico y ama reparar motores.
4) Hay mafía que derrocar: la compañía de electricidad Armando que esta dirigida por un magnate corrupto.
5) Hay una dama a la que Bwana debe ayudar a escapar, por investigar a dicha empresa corrupta.

Me falta jugar el capitulo dos pero por lo que veo hay una secretaria, un puerto y marineros... Todo eso mas una gran historia y la infaltable pizca de buen humor ( que a veces me recuerda a Monkey Island) hacen de este un gran juego. Que mas allá de ser una copia de...para mi representa fielmente una época con sus escenarios cuidados, sin nada librado al azar y con excelentes puzzles, que con un poco de lógica se resuelven y tiene sentido!!!!!(como solo en un buen juego de aventura grafica puede haber) <3<3<3
