I'm planning in making two lists of all adventures games (point&click and not p&c) on Steam. When it's done, I'll tell you.

eta: ok, sorry, I somehow completely missed the "on steam" part of your post! I hope you'll still check out the game I linked, I think you'd enjoy it (if you haven't played it yet), and the devs really deserve the sale.
There are a few adventures on Greenlight that are very much in the style of the classics, btw, vote them up: The Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island
Haunted

- Primordia
- Secret Files trilogy - Tunguska, Puritas Cordis, Secret Files 3
- Kentucky Route Zero - now this one I wouldn't call a traditional adventure, because it places a lot more focus on atmosphere, story, and exploration than actual puzzling, but it's definitely worth checking out. I'm also a fan of classic adventures (CMI happens to be my favourite as well!), and while different, I enjoyed this game immensely. It also has some text adventure sequences outside of the main story line. Be advised though, this is an episodic game, and only the first part is out as of yet. Acts II through V should be released over the course of the following year.
The Dream Machine
Lume
Botanicula
Samorost 2
Machinarium
Also, Kentucky Route Zero and Machinarium are some of my favorite recent adventure games and both have wonderful artwork. Before buying KRZ you may want to try a free mini-game by the same authors that introduces you to a similar atmosphere and textual interface: http://kentuckyroutezero.com/limits-and-demonstrations/
Ben There Dan That / Time Gentlemen Please
It comes as a double pack at a low price and is fantastic even if it doesn't have voice acting.
I've personally bought more than 50 copies of the game and given them away to friends.
