DVI no signal???

Have no problems playing other games via Steam (Deus Ex, Torchlight II) but when I try to play HL2 my monitor goes black and I get a DVI NO SIGNAL popup. I can hear the game running but there is no visual whatsoever. If the card was failing, I'd think there would be other problems but this HL2 no DVI issue is the only one I'm having. Running Windows 7 with an AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series card. Any help would be appreciated!
