Its all right, no problem, but Black mesa has the same story like the first HL, but the graphic is uptodate like the HL2 and you have ingame Acheivements.

I actually just today decided to finally play this game after so many people saying how amazing it is, forgive me for taking so long. I've been playing it for about 5 hours now, and my first impressions are great. I'm seeing why this game gets so much praise, it's fantastic. Looking at the visuals, I am surprised this game came out during the PS2 era, that's an amazing jump forward from the visuals we were usually getting, and the gameplay is the most original I've ever seen in any FPS considering when this game came out. It's pretty clear that games this generation drew alot from this game. I still have to play this game to the end until I can give my complete final opinion on this game, but it's amazing so far.

As far as the subject matter goes, whether it is the best game ever is entirely opinion based. There is really no such thing as a best game ever, though that's not to say you can't call it the best because it's your favorite, and I'm sure many will agree with you. My favorite video game is Majora's Mask on N64, so naturally, to me, that's the best game ever. But actually the best? That's debatable amongst people with different opinions. Same goes for Half-Life 2. Is it one of the best games ever made? Sure. Does it stand the test of time? Absolutely. Best game ever? Well, that's up to you. Is it your favorite game? If yes, than who am I to argue? :)

i agree, i only bought it recently, but it's story has grabbed me and won't let me go. i played the whole package in a week, and now i must wait for episode 3 :(
