Same here. Even one year ago I couldn't dream that I eventually would be able to play HL2 on Linux and also be drowned in other Steam games. :) Thank you very much Valve!

Yes, thank you! I'm glad to see this finally happen. Now I am just waiting for the (beta) at the end to disappear ;-) (I was playing through with wine and achievements from the beta version don't seem to add to my HL2 achievements).

I had tried to jump on Steam betafor Linux - no luck. Some time after that, Steam got out - Ubuntu only. Some time after that Gentoo had some way to run Steam - at last. Friend of mine said "Come on, let's play TF2" - and we did (and still do). It was the time I said to myself "If TF2 runs on HL2 engine, there should be HL2 on Linux too". Meantime I bought HL1 and started playing on travels on my netbook - great game it still is. And here we are, today. This is the day I decided to buy HL Complete.

And I want to say it loud - Thank you for bringing Steam to Linux, thank you for bringing gaming to Linux. Thank you, Valve!
