Saved games no longer sync with steam cloud. Anyone noticed this?

They need to be carried manually from computer to computer obviously. It defeats the purpose of steam cloud.

Well I only play from one computer so not sure if this is going to be helpfull. At anyrate have you tried checking the steam security settings, since there is an option to add your pc to the security settings so that only that hardware identifier will be able to access your account/steam cloud, thereby preventing another pc with different hardware from logging onto your account. I understand that is not the particular case with you, but was wondering if you had this checked maybe thats why is does not sync with your laptop?

Same problem here, I'm pretty sure last time I played HL2 it stored and synced my savegames with steam cloud. I just installed it again and there are no saves available.

However when I check the settings it says that there are 50mb of data stored in the cloud, which most lieky are my savegames, it just doesn't seem to download them!?

I'm having the same problem. 41MB of stuff on the cloud, nothing showing up in my game. Funnily enough, when I start a new game, I can select any of the chapters. So maybe the cloud saves only your chapter/story progress?

Mine got bugged when I switched to playing on Linux for the first time. I came back to Windows expecting my save to be there, but it was missing. I should really take precautions and manually back up my save files, haha.

Same here, no savegames there, all progress lost, although I have 96MB in the cloud

I did...restarted hl2 ....empty list

after a few minutes ingame the A.I. disabled info appears

I just reinstalled HL2 but "Steam Cloud" didn't download my save game. Something is going on. I don't want to restart the game - I thought that was the whole point of "Steam Cloud."
I guess it's just a bug and will be fixed if enough people bring it to Steam's attention.

Got this update too, but didn't fix anything for me, list of savegames is still empty =(
