That's a problem with the Hidden. This is a discussion page for Half Life 2.

I fixed It. I downloaded the Razer Game Booster and let it defrag half-life2 and it took care of all of my problems and now it runs even better than before.

How much faster exactly? I've never heard of that program, and my laptop can barely break 20fps on any 3D game...

its from the company razer they make keyboards and mice for PC. if you go to razerzone.com/Gamebooster it will let you look at it before you download it.
