SMOD Redux 10 V2 Scenes Missing.

For some reason, in SMOD Redux 10 V2 the scripted sequences won't start. I don't know what's causing this. I've looked in the console. It spams:
Unknown scene specified: "scenes/Expressions/citizen_scared_idle_01.vcd"
Unknown scene specified: "scenes/Expressions/citizen_normal_idle_01.vcd"
I have Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, Half-Life 2 Lost Coast, and Source SDK Base 2006 and 2007 installed (I've gotten it to work with just Source SDK Base 2006 and 2007 installed, though.)
Has anyone else had this issue, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Same issue here - gameplay is fine, but any time there is required cutscene dialogue, I get hung up and have to 'jump' to a further map.

I found out how to fix it.
Get the half life 2 content.gcf (download it or something) and import the "scenes" file from it and put it into the sourcemods/smodredux folder.

I found the scenes file and put it in the smodredux folder, but it doesn't do anything.

In the main Half-Life 2 folder.
I think you need to install the HL2 Content GCF file.
That's what I had to do to get it working.

i tried that and still nothign why is it so buggy and would i be better of with just basic smod instead of redux?

I solved it like three years ago, and unfortunately I forget.

Also the gameinfo.txt has to be updated, so the mod can detect all the half life 2 directories)

I have the css and half life 2 on the same disk as the SMOD, and the Gameinfo I do with that? How did the scenes happen? I wonder.

And the solution I had might no longer be viable now that .vpks are officially in use now.

i had the same problem but i was laughing my ass off when gman was just looking around confused lol
