How do i fix this screen tearing issue?
So I just got my computer repaired because I dropped it and the gpu fan broke. The repair shop say everything's still okay, but the gpu overheated a bit when i was using it without functioning fan. And today after the repair is finished, i immediantly put on half life 2 and it's doing good. I then switched the fov to 90 degrees from 75 degrees and this is when things got really bad. I experienced major tearing both horizontally and vertically to the point of being unplayable and I even felt nauseous while playing it. I even tried vsync but the tearing is still noticable. So, I switched back to 75 degree fov and still experience the same tearing, although a bit reduced. Is there anything I could possibly do?

Try an alternative to vsync like freesync or gsync

Put on Vsync. Also type ' fps_max 59 ' in the console.

Did you ever think that dropping your laptop caused more isses than just your GPU fan getting broke?
