Problem with the chess fight

I'm stuck in the game when Lili fights with the Mother Superior in a game of chess.

Everytime I try a move, Harvey syas "rule violation" and I have to do it again.
I've tried everything, but it stays the same. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem with the game?

Oh and I'm not able to skip, when I try it's the same... Please help me!

Have you exited the chess game and looked around the padded room yet? The chess game can't be played without 'violating the rules' until you combine some objects found around the room and use them on Harvey. You should be able to play the chess game without a problem once you do that.
