Possible Bug - game does not stop running after exiting

Hey
I've been having a lot of fun with Antichamber, and have played for about 6 or 7 hours now, 'real time'. But, Steam tells me that I've been playing for a solid 18 hours.
This is probably due to the following: when I quit the game (holding escape for a while) and want to re-enter later, Steam tells me the app is already running and cannot restart.

So, in order to get into the game again, I have to exit Steam and then restart it. Don't know if anyone else has this problem?

I have this problem on many games on Steam. If you close a game and quickly want to launch it again (either because the game crashed, you closed it by error or anything), it often tells that the game is already running. Usually, I just try to launch it again once or twice and Steam will eventually agree to launch it. I guess it's because it takes a few seconds before a processus is completely closed.
Never had to restart Steam for it, though.

Hmmmm. Luckily I never encountered the problem with other games before.
Also, I played the game for half an hour before going to the movies & dinner, and when I came back, suddenly Steam had added 6+ hours to my gaming time. Couldn't start the game, and that's when I thought I'd get someone else's thoughts on this. (it had happened before).

But... apparently it's not a game-specific error then, but rather a Steam related one. Rats.
