Black Screen Hang At Start Up *SOLVED*

I had the black screen hang when trying to start the game. I tried to run it in compatibility mode but it didn't work. I have a dual monitor, extended setup. When I switched the display mode to "Computer Only," switching it to single monitor, the game ran normally and the problem was fixed. I switched back to "Extended Display" after changing the resolution to my native 1920x1080 and ran the game again and it ran fine as well. Hope this helps people having a similar issue.

You can switch your display mode on the fly with the Windows Key + P command.

Agreed, this fixed my system as well. What's interesting is that other games using the same engine work just fine with dual screens. I have a dual SLI rig with GTX 780s which I thought might be the issue, but running with a single screen did the trick.

thx, but dont helped me. set my sound from 24/192 down to dvd 16/48 - someone wrote it here - solves the prob with the crash at start. but sequences still often stay on the head ...
