Linux issue with fullscreen
I enabled fullscreen (on a dual display nvidia-twinview setup) and I get half the game fullscreen on one display. I am unable to disable fullscreen because the checkbox would have been on the other screen which the game is currently not using. How do I reset the config to get it to forget I selected fullscreen? I already tried to delete and reinstall the game. Is there a launch option to force windowed mode again?

Usually games store their configuration somewhere in the home directory. I did this

find ~ -iname '*assault*'

So I came across
~/.java/.userPrefs/net/puppygames/applet/Droid Assault Local/prefs.xml

Change the value of the line
<entry key="fullscreen2" value="2"/>
from 2 to 1.

Hope that works for you.

That did it.

Thanks!

I'll patch it later as well so you can set the viewport. Unfortunately the issue where it shuts down the other monitor is actually a driver issue apparently (don't know if you have that particular problem)

Ah good. Not all drivers get it wrong.
