Is there an alternative way for saving progress?

Right now it's kind of frustrating. Basically one can re-start with the previous team of droids when he leaves the gameplay. A bad level and half of droids lost? Exiting will make you start from this point. I understand the whole retro flavour but this is as retro as half of C64 games. Any tricks?

What we should do is save the team and score etc. at the checkpoints as well which is the general mechanism we do in the other games. So that's probably what we'll do in the next major point release. This will unfortunately erase everyone's progress though.

Thanks for your input! Is it possible that I miss some useful trivia of the current system? There's not much to it but... :)
