Trouble with DA and Java

Hey! I bought DA last week and had lots of fun with it for a few days. Then I updated Java and now DA will:

1. Go to the purple loading screen with the progress bar as usual.
2. Show a static hint of the main screen for a second or so.
3. Crash to desktop.

Win7 64 bit, all drivers up to date. Plenty of horsepower.

PS. I also own Revenge of the Titans and it runs allright.

Grr sorry. Our newb programmer didn't check whether your controller actually had 8 buttons and just went and checked to see if it was pressed anyway (button index 7 is the "start" button on the 360 controller)

btw our games don't use any Java installed on your machine. I actually advise uninstalling it.

Methinks I need Java for something or other. :)

Making sure the controller is off makes DA happy again.
